I've received initial feedback from HPE Support. Our array is capable of about 800 MB/s write speed, and they don't see any bottlenecks on the storage side. HPE Support has now sent the following question to Veeam:
After a thorough review, there was one item that we noticed that may boost the performance somewhat, but I am not sure if it is possible. This is likely a question for Veeam support, but if it is possible to increase the queue depth from the Veeam side of things, this may allow for better performance on the restores.
