indeed there is progress and as I said we are in very close contact with NetApp on the topic.
I can confirm that development to move to REST is already underway for some time and we are targeting a separate USAPI Plugin which will allow development indipendent from VBR releases.
While I cannot tell the final ETA yet we have are aware of the NetApp timelines.
I will share more news as soon as we are closer to release.
