Good morning all,
Wondering if anyone in the community here may have some feedback. We are working through migrating some environments from vSphere to Proxmox. We have already completed about 50 VM migrations, but one thing that has come up as we get to larger VMs is the lack of a way to monitor progress. We have had a handful of VMs that seem to take longer than expected and are wondering if anyone has come up with a way to confirm the PVE workers are still processing the restore to confirm this isn't a stuck restore session/stack. From reviewing we can see that restore logs are stored in the following path on the Windows based VBS:
C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Plugins\PVE\Restore
The problem however is these logs seemingly are on the worker and don't get pulled by the VBS until the restore session actually completes. Since these migrations are to LVM on block storage we can't really monitor to see if a disk size is incrementing in size. Has anyone found a way they are manually checking progress on restores to Proxmox? We have a Veeam case (Case #08094182) regarding this that is being moved to their Proxmox VE plugin team so I am hoping they can provide some feedback but curious what anyone else has found regarding this.
Thanks!
