Unfortunately, the Veeam support case was closed due to a "shortage of support personnel."
The following is the process I followed to resolve the error, and I ultimately achieved a "successful backup."
1. Merge all numerous Hyper-V snapshots on the backup target server.
2. Reinstall the Veeam Agent on the backup target server.
3. Enable Skip Bad Blocks in the Registry Editor on the backup target server.
regedit - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Endpoint Backup
NEW DWORD - SkipBadBlocks - 1
Services - Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows - Restart
4. Create a new backup job.
5. Disable "Enable application-aware processing" in the backup job settings.
