Hi,
I have a production site with a vSphere cluster.
Virtual machines are backed up using VBR.
VBR is located on this site.
Now I need to set up a DR site.
The DR site will have an ESXi host and a QNAP NAS.
From the VBR server, I need to replicate some machines to the ESXi host on the DR site.
I also need to copy some backups to the NAS.
For this last requirement, I'm considering an LHR machine with the NAS's iSCSI LUNs attached.
For VM replication, can the ESXi host be a standalone host or does it need to be managed by a vCenter?
I was thinking about replicating VBR as well so I could use it in the event of a DR. What do you think?
Thank you.
Andrea
