No need to to gaslight, Gostev. There are cases where managed agents are undesirable.

azpets is right. Many admins are looking at this thinking "for this to be an issue, I'd have to be tricked into restoring a malicious file; I can avoid a headache by just waiting until the next release and not doing something stupid in the meantime." I think VAW uses MSI and having to interact with MSI more than necessary is punishing.

What's interesting is that I'm sure someone suggested pushing the version number to 6.3.3 and management must have shot that down. For what end? VAW is on my mother's home computer (thank you for helping to keep her computer protected). She can install VAW updates via the GUI, but having to download, uninstall, and reinstall would be too much for her. So, if VAW is really targeted at the home user, then that decision to not increment to 6.3.3 was misguided. If a product is targeted for a home user, then it should go the extra mile to make things as easy as possible and avoid imposing unnecessary complexities.
