Still a bit lost. I was able to get Enterprise Manager and VBR updated just fine to 4165. No issues. I rescanned my existing agents in protection groups...and each machine said it was uninstalling and installing the agent. I assumed this means it was upgrading. IF i go on the servers and check the version it still shows 6.3.2.1205. Not 1302.
KB4778 states that if you run "Pre-Installed Backup Agents Protection Group" agents then you must run the hot fix. I dont know what Pre-installed means. You either have protection groups that you add vms to or you dont. Im not sure if what i have is "Pre-Installed Backup Agents Protection Groups" or not. Seemingly adding machines to a protection group when the PG is setup will deploy the agents. Nothing was "pre-deployed".
