We are testing BMR for Lenovo desktops & laptops. During recovery we see the network driver for either wired or wireless did not load - further analysis shows it wasn't even backed up.
Back in November 2018 this exact issue was supposedly documented in https://www.veeam.com/kb2133 - however this link is no longer available. From what I
've seen posted by others the driver for Intel I219-V Gigabit Ethernet cannot be collected by the Veeam BMR process. The exact wording is:

Hello and welcome to the community dexterid,
Unfortunately this driver cannot be collected by our recovery media from the operating system (according to QA it's not possible due to driver design), so the described workaround remains valid. Thanks!”
The workaround is to manually download the driver and include it in the creation of building the recover media.
"Though I managed to make it work by first downloading the Intel Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack from Intel, here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/produc ... ion-I219-V
Then copied the complete "PRO1000\Winx64" folder to the recovery media, and manually chose the NDIS62\e1d62x64.inf to load the driver from after booting into the recovery media.
When creating the recovery media if I chose the same folder to use the driver at creation time there still was no network when booting into the recovery, only when I choose to load it manually there."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So.....this has been an issue for 8 years - a known issue with Veeam. Is this something Veeam is going to correct - or is it technically impossible due to the way the driver is built by Intel?
