May I ask if 2 years of daily backups, 192 years of weekly, 83 years of monthly, and 999 years of yearly backups are not sufficient to fulfill your requirements? Are you specifically requesting to retain daily backups for 10 years or for an unlimited time period?
Could you please share a link to the official SOX compliance documentation that references the requirement for an "unlimited retention period" for backups? This would help our team better understand the exact requirements.
Additionally, for my own interest, may I ask what type of backup target you plan to use to store backups indefinitely, and will it be immutable?
