May I ask, why are you not using the recommended "LOCAL SYSTEM" account?
If you provide your own service account, make sure to use an account with "local Administrator" permissions on the machine where you have installed the backup server.

Do I also need to change anything that has the *Veeam* in the backup server 'Services' console with Local account?

No, the installer will do that for you.
