I've the same question as Murigar.
We have immutable Repos in a special zone and they are currently used by our main VBR server. We'll have a hot standby server at a different location for DR scenarios. This server should also be used to do automated periodic restore tests in this DR zone with backups located on the repos. No backups will be created.
I know the disclaimer, but this use case is not that uncommon. In a different thread I found the info that it's mainly discouraged because of load issues, which will be no problem.
So is this possible or not? And if not, this is a huge drawback for me. Ideally I could be able to define a "read only" role to a VBR server.
