The Wortmann AG / TERRA CLOUD would like to launch an M365 backup product for resellers this year. The VBM365 servers are hosted and managed by the Veeam Service Provider Console.
We have installed separate Restore Portal servers for VBM365. Our resellers do not have access to the VBM365 Console or explorers, only to restore portal via VSPC.
During our evaluation phase, we noticed a few things for which we would like to submit feature requests:
1. Add the permissions for the restore portal as an option to the onboarding process of the tenant.
In our setup every reseller must add the permission for the restore portal Entra ID Enterprise Application via PowerShell script (Connect-VB365RestorePortal) for every customer.
It would be much easier if you add the permission during the onboarding of the tenant, when adding permissions for the backup.
2. Add an Export functionality for the restore portal.
As written above our reseller can only perform a restore via restore portal, and they would like to export objects (OneDrive documents as an example)
3.Integrate the restore portal functions to the Veeam Service Provider Console
There are two different products within the Veeam world (VBM365 and VSPC), but it would be very nice to have one Portal for everything and not a link to a different Web service. Customers notice the cut between the two software products and ask for the reason of two different portals.
