Just upgraded to 12.3.2.3617 and the issue still persists.
LVM -> LUKS -> BTRFS.
Incremental backups work in general, but as soon as I change the LVM-LUKS-BTRFS combo's size (even just by 1GB) the incremental backup pretty much creates a size-wise full backup.
Ubuntu has meanwhile also been upgraded to 24.04 with Kernel version 6.8.0-64-generic.
By the way: snapshot-less backup makes no difference.
