Hi DB,

It depends on the restore point type. Was retention set to "days" or "restore points" in the job?
The background retention task only removes old restore points when retention is set to "days".

There is also a limitation for standalone agents and "Managed by Agent" policies:

[For backups created with Veeam Agent for Windows operating in standalone or managed by Veeam Agent mode] For backups linked to jobs basic retention does not apply.
