Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 • Re: Veeam Hardened Repository + O365 Repository

Hi Antonio,

Unfortunately, your plan will not work. Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 does not support Hardened Repositories or any other Linux repository.

Supported repositories can either be Jet-based repositories on a Windows machine or object storage.

Object storage is the recommended repository type for this product, as it is much more stable than Jet databases. Please also note that features such as immutable backups, backup encryption, and backup copies are only possible with object storage repositories. Jet databases will never receive these features, and some future enhancements may be developed exclusively for object storage repositories.
