So I asked one guy on the ops team to test multiple mode with latest version of veeam.
For a single vmdk of 311GB (300GB used)
- direct san to alletra 9080 nvme 300MB/s
- direct san to primera 670 ssd 450MB/s
- hot-add to alletra 9080 : 1GB/s
Looks like direct san is slower now than before for single stream and the ops team confirm it. The tell me depending of the number of disk to restore they either choose hot-add (few disk) or direct san(many disks) to get the best overall throughput.
