I don't think it's a network issue. Otherwise, I'd have backup performance issues, too. The physical backup server is connected directly to the SAN switch, which also connects the Alletra with iSCSI. So, there's no other instance in between, and the SAN traffic is switched. The backup server is connected to the SAN with 2 x 25 Gbit, and the Alletras have 2 x 25 Gbit per controller.
I also remember my test with the Alletra LUN mounted directly on the backup server – I achieved around 800 GB/s write speed to the Alletra.
