Here's some background on the situation. A customer upgraded a NAS which only supports SMB in the configuration they are using but this new model gets the {ReFs.SetFileIntegrity}. error when Veeam writes backup files to it. The customer has other NAS devices with SMB Repositories. In this situation, we'd like to continue to use Fast Clone on the other NAS devices which Veeam works with fast clone and only disable it on the new NAS Backup Repository. We've confirmed setting the Registry Value for UseCifsVirtualSynthetic resolves the situation on the new NAS as described in the Veeam KB4381. However, this appears to be a global setting and would affect all SMB NAS Backup Repositories. Is there a method to make this setting only apply to a specific Backup Repository?
