Enabling MFA for Security Groups is on our roadmap, but we don’t have an ETA yet.
This might already address your MFA requirements for user accounts, since authentication will take place on the Entra ID side — where you can enforce MFA — rather than within Veeam Backup & Replication itself. So you may not need to wait for our group MFA integration.

With v13, we will introduce SAML support for Veeam Backup & Replication. If everything goes as planned, you should be able to use SAML authentication with Microsoft Entra ID.ideally with compatibility for Microsoft Entra ID group assignments.
This might already address your MFA requirements for user accounts, since authentication will take place on the Entra ID side — where you can enforce MFA — rather than within Veeam Backup & Replication itself. So you may not need to wait for our group MFA integration.
