Can you confirm exactly which aspects of Cloud Connect (CC) you work with?
Currently there are no plans to support CC replication; however CC backups are essentially imported backups, and there are plans to support those in VRO in a future release.
VRO can work in an environment where vCloud Director is present, however currently VRO cannot use vCD as a recovery target directly (for VMware recovery only vCenter is supported as a target)
