Servers & Workstations • Ver 5 to Ver 6, need to erase all Ver 5 backups?

Using Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows ver. 5 free edition on a couple of home PC's. If I upgrade to ver. 6, is it recommended to erase all ver. 5 backups and start backups again? Should this deleting all backups and starting over even be done for a minor release, ver 6.x to ver 6.x ?
