VMware vSphere • Re: restore with direct storage with proxy and gateway server on the same server

the disks are thick provisioned, and if I use a fixed proxy virtuial uses the hotadd transport mode, but when I want to use the physical proxy connected to the san for direct storage uses nbd, my doubt is to know if it is possible that a server fulfills the role of gateway server and proxy server at the same time in a restoration.
