We have multiple cloudsql database instances/VM instances in various projects which use different VPCs and subnets. The Veeam application is setup in the network host project (project
which sets up VPC networks). As we know, There is a limitation of just one worker per zone due to which we can just configure a single worker in a specific VPC and subnet.
The network traffic communication between these different projects/VPCs when backing up the instance(s) introduces various issues. Hence, we wanted the feature to setup various worker configurations (atleast 2) per zone, with possibility to configure the worker (based on the name of the worker configuration) in VM/Cloudsql policy configuration. We want to be able to use any of the worker configurations that we configured per zone in any policy (VM/Cloudsql).
for that we already opened a case with Veeam Support Case 07496591 on 08.11.2024. The case was closed with the statement that Victor (Veeam Engineer) will open a feature request.
As it’s been 5 months, we did not receive any update weather feature request is accomplished in new version or not.
After receiving update from Veeam Engineering Team that they are working on it. Hence I opened this communication on Veeam forum to speed up the enhancement request.
