Veeam Agents for Linux, Mac, AIX & Solaris • Re: Feature Request - Disable this: Linux Agent forces a full backup after an agent upgrade

Hi,

Let's clarify what exactly is going on:

- do you see the agent creating a .vbk file, or a .vib file during the job run that happens right after the upgrade?

- if it's .vib, is it of your average increment size, or it's significantly larger?

Thanks!
Yes, it is a .vib, which is an incremental and it lists it as an incremental. It is NOT significantly larger than the previous day incremental (in fact it is smaller). However, the job that ran after the agent upgrade took significantly longer.

The day before the agent upgrade, an incremental ran, this is the data from the logs: Start time: 2:00:32 PMEnd time: 2:16:49 PM

The next morning, server and agents were upgraded, on the next run, which was also an incremental: Start time: 2:00:39 PMEnd time: 11:56:18 PM

So that insane amount of time for the incremental backup to happen after the upgrade is what this feature request is for, to stop that every single time you need to upgrade Veeam.

Also, the target repository is on the backup server itself, all housed internally with the servers that it is backing up.
