KVM (RHV, OLVM, Proxmox VE) • Re: Proxmox restore and backup need to activated volume first

Hey @rovshan.pashayev - How do you create support logs for Proxmox items? I'm not seeing the option to select logs for jobs, objects, or even the workers in the export logs page.

I'll provide what NojuHD is talking about, as I'm also using this plugin in my environment.

Code:

3/14/2025 1:09:09 PM Error ubuntu : kvm: -drive file=/dev/disk/by-id/wwn-0x624a937096622a35a07e4a3300013367,if=none,id=drive-scsi0,aio=native,discard=on,format=raw,cache=none,detect-zeroes=unmap: Could not open '/dev/disk/by-id/wwn-0x624a937096622a35a07e4a3300013367': No such file or directory
That is the error you get when trying to restore a VM or try to backup it up while offline.

Like NojuHD stated, Veeam is not verifying the iSCSI disk is present before trying to read or write to it, so it fails. It needs to activate the disk first in order to do so.
