When a VAW job has settings which are not supported by VSPC, you can't deploy/edit/manage the job thru VSPC.

That's not entirely true. You can definitely manage and edit jobs in VSPC but cannot change the unsupported parameter. If you have an example of when we lock down the job, let me know in PM, and I will investigate it.

The example you've referred to is not about having a supported/unsupported parameter but rather about having a non-common configuration for managing a backup agent.
