I just wanted to thank Veeam for their incessant dedication to making Veeam the most
rounded and open backup solution. I made the decision to switch to Veeam awhile back but little did I know
how important that single decision would be. Due to the Broadcom fiasco I would say most of us got backed
into a corner. Veeam has literally been our lifeline in a sea of crap. We have been piloting all of the
VMware replacement contenders and how amazing is it that we can backup a VMware guest, restore it on
Nutanix and bring it up withing a couple of hours and THEN move it again backing up the Nutanix VM and
porting it over to Proxmox. Insane, but it just works. This is true data freedom! Now as long as Veeam can survive
a takeover by an evil genius, all will be right with the world (at least in the realm of IT data mobility).
So a special thank you to the Veeam team and all of your employees that make the wheels turn.
