The read block size during the Veeam read operations is calculated automatically, based on the zeroed_regions information: in the first log line, an 8k block read request was submitted, while the second line used the 64k block.


I have received the information that in the upcoming release, the read blocksize will be fixed to 1 MB, which is expected to have a huge positive impact on the jobs speed, as the fio with 1Mb block size shows; until then, we would need to work on the confirmation that the read size with smaller blocks is expected.
