I would assume, that the VCenter version is completely irrelevant for synthetic fulls. Or are you saying, that these problems only exist since 8.0U3?

If you see general issues with synthetic fulls, then I recommend reporting that to the OpenZFS bug tracker.

To answer your question: no, we did not test that combination.

Doing active full makes reflink irrelevant...
