Does Instant Recovery work? If you restore the entire VM, for example, to an isolated environment, do you see any issues with the database after restore?

Have you tried backing up the SQL server to another repository and restoring from it? My guess is that there may be an issue at the repository hardware level, but I'd prefer to leave the opportunity to confirm this assumption to our support engineers. They have all the necessary troubleshooting tools and debug logs. Let's wait and see what they can find out.
