We plan to use VEEAM to backup NAS data(Netapp ONTAP). Here we tested two ways which is provided by VEEAM(Filer & NDMP). Currently, we find theare are some pros and cons:
For Filer: If we need backup NAS data, we need add proxy number to improve performance and we may need an account which have access to access NAS data.
For NDMP: The backup speed is fast, but the restore should be the volume level. We have around 20T for some large volumes. The restoration is a disaster.
Any ideas which have a better NAS backup solution?
