I’ve had some relevant experience with this:
I set up the Veeam Infrastructure Appliance as a hardened repository on a Dell PowerEdge R770.
Due to changes in my design, I had to reinstall the appliance. In the process, I noticed that the keyboard and mouse worked during the Rocky Linux installation, but no longer worked in the Veeam Setup Wizard (after the first reboot).
Since there had been updates to the iDRAC in the meantime, I ran the setup again using the previous version, and this time the keyboard and mouse worked throughout the process.
After successfully setting up the appliance, I updated the iDRAC again and booted the appliance. After that, the keyboard and mouse became unusable again.
Keyboard and mouse work: iDRAC 1.30.10.50
Keyboard and mouse no longer work once the Veeam Setup-Assistant starts: iDRAC 10.30.10.51 & 10.30.20.10
The iDRAC release notes do not mention any changes regarding KVM. Could there be an issue with the USBguard in the appliance?
